Putting the craft in Bushcraft Summer Sessions

A magical day of creativity, adventure, and woodland skills for children aged 6- 16

Give your child a summer holiday they’ll remember.

Our woodland sessions combine nature, imagination, and practical skills in a safe and inspiring outdoor setting.

Throughout the day children will:

  • 🌿 Explore and connect with nature
  • 🎨 Create beautiful woodland-inspired art and crafts
  • 🔥 Cook delicious treats over the campfire
  • 🪵 Learn beginner whittling skills using real tools with close supervision
  • 🌸 Build confidence, independence, and creativity
  • 🤝 Make new friends through games and collaborative projects

Every session is different, following the seasons, the children’s interests, and the woodland itself.

MISSION BRIEF

THE ITINERARY
Your mission itinerary might include anything from abseiling to paintball, starting fires to swinging ropes. Your dedicated Under The Canopy team will create a mission plan for an adventure to remember.
Make sure you dress for the weather.
The minimum required :
Long trousers
T-shirt
Long top
Jacket
Close toe shoes
Bottle of water
Snacks
Any medication must be made aware to an instructor. This is the same for allergies and intolerances. If multiple sessions are booked then lunch should be packed for the duration. If it’s raining then waterproofs are a good idea. If it’s freezing then extra layers are a good idea. If its readers then suncream works.

Please make sure that you complete our online consent form before arriving for your Under The Canopy adventure.

You mission rendezvous point will be: Long Rock Woods, Lanherne Valley, St Mawgan, Newquay, TR8 4HH. Your commandos will be ready and waiting for a wilderness adventure like no other!
